Deadpool 3 – The Joining of Two Worlds

Deadpool 3

X-Men and Avengers-Assemble! Marvel is coming out with a new movie, Deadpool 3. Coming in theaters July 26th, 2024, this movie will join together the mutants and Avengers, as well as fill in many of the missing plot holes. But who exactly is Deadpool, and what are the movies about?
Jaden Larsen, a freshman at Santa Rosa Academy, explains that the Deadpool movie series is, “[It’s] inappropriate at times but also funny, caring, kind, motivated and determined to do what needs to be done.”

Ryan Reynolds plays Deadpool, one of Marvel’s iconic antiheroes.

The Deadpool series starts with Wade Wilson (played by Ryan Reynolds). At first, being a normal person, but then his world completely changes when he realizes he has a deadly disease. According to Rotten Tomatoes, “Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a former Special Forces operative who now works as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when evil scientist Ajax (Ed Skrein) tortures, disfigures and transforms him into Deadpool. The rogue experiment leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor.” Though first being a villain, Deadpool turns into one of Marvel’s antiheroes. Through the film, he learns to do more heroic acts, yet still gives into his previous job and actions. In the second film, Marvel continues to expand in the movie and different aspects of this character. The film synopsis, according to Disney+ is, “Wisecracking mercenary Deadpool meets Russell, an angry teenage mutant who lives at an orphanage. When Russell becomes the target of Cable — a genetically enhanced soldier from the future — Deadpool realizes that he’ll need some help saving the boy from such a superior enemy. He soon joins forces with Bedlam, Shatterstar, Domino and other powerful mutants to protect young Russell from Cable and his advanced weaponry.”
As well as the Deadpool project, Marvel has come to do a reboot of an old (And previously thought finished) project that features fellow mutants.

Maria (Bella) Burns, a freshman at Santa Rosa Academy, states that “The TV show X-Men: The Animated Series was first made in 1992 and ran until 1997(hence the name of the new show, X-Men ’97) and it featured Professor X, Wolverine, Cyclops, Phoenix, Storm, Rogue, Gambit, and Jubilee. It showed their struggle for mutant rights and their difficulties across both time and space…

Marvel comes back to bring a hit TV show of X-men. Now called X-Men ’97.

After Marvel’s Avengers: End Game, there have been multiple cameos in both movies and end credits of films. Three main mutant characters have made these appearances. Such as Professor X, Wolverine, and Beast.Burns went into detail about who each character is.

Professor Charles Xavier – A powerful telepath who is wise, kind, and brave. He is the reason for the “X-Men”.

Wolverine (James Logan Howlett) – With unbreakable adamantium claws, a healing factor, enhanced senses, and increased strength/speed he’s been around since the 1800s. He’s gruff, tough, and remarkably loyal.
Beast (Hank McCoy) – A mutant with super strength, agility, and increased senses. He gained his distinctive appearance after using a serum that was meant to suppress his powers but ended up enhancing them. Hank’s a gentle giant with a love of nature, animals, and Shakespeare. He’s always quoting someone. (He’s among my favorites)

These three characters have all made separate cameos in other Marvel movies.

Burns says, “The Beast is seen in the end credit scene of “The Marvels” and Wolverine is set to join Deadpool in Deadpool 3.”
As well as that, Professor X is in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. Along with the joining of X-Men, in the TV show, Loki, Cerebro’s entrance (A room Professor X uses to find Mutants and people) can be seen.
However, people have believed that Deadpool has already been with the MCU from the second movie. Larsen states, “I would say that Deadpool is already part of the Marvel Universe, this is because in the second movie, he mentions 3 of the Avengers and he wouldn’t know these people if these universes weren’t connected in some way or another. But yes I also saw when looking at the preview for the new movie that Loki is going to be introduced in Deadpool 3. But I have zero clue how they are going to introduce him to Loki in the upcoming movie.”

Marvel comes up with ways to excite fans and give hints to what characters are in the movie.

Many people are very excited for this movie to come out. They believe that this is one of the very few good projects that Marvel is still making. An anonymous student said “Marvel’s a dead franchise. It’s dead. Deadpool is the only thing that can save it.” Since Marvel’s Infinity saga has ended, people have been saying that it’s been heading downhill. Burns says, “ I think Wakanda Forever, No Way Home, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3, and Shang-Chi movies were good. I also liked some aspects of Eternals. However, I felt like Thor: Love and Thunder and The Marvels were too much like comedies instead of action movies.” As well as the movies, people find that Marvel’s TV shows have a half shot at actually turning out well.

Larsen believes that “It’s 50,50, some of the newer things are good and the others aren’t. I feel like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was a really good show, but I do feel like the Loki show could have been better than it was.”

Deadpool 3 has put out the main cast for the movie.

The film synopsis of Deadpool 3 is very low in detail to make sure no spoilers are spread.

“Wolverine is recovering from his injuries when he crosses paths with the loudmouth, Deadpool. They team up to defeat a common enemy.”

While filming, some photos and videos were leaked into the public domain.
