The 2024 Olympics in Paris is almost here, but people are already thinking about 2028. In 2028, the United States of America will host the Olympic Games, the host city chosen being Los Angeles, California. Americans are completely overjoyed – it isn’t a stretch to say that most of the United States is overlooking the 2024 Olympics in Paris, already consumed by the thought of the games coming to Los Angeles in 2028.

People want to see new sports approved and added to the Olympic Games, the most popular sports bidded are: cricket, flag football, baseball/softball, lacrosse, and more are hoping for acceptance and the ability to be included in the upcoming games. The IOC (International Olympic Comittee) accepted cricket, flag football, baseball/softball and more as official sports to be included, and the people are all the more ecstatic. Unfortunately, with new sports being added, some are being removed. Boxing will be removed from the 2028 Olympics, and boxers are devastated. Other devastated athletes are disappointed since karate has not been added since it did not reach enough votes.

As for the additional sports accepted to the 2024 Paris Olympics, skateboarding and surfing along with more sports have been accepted, assuring more popularity and enhancements to their Olympic program.

The venues and stadiums for both respective teams are beautiful and grand. Paris and Los Angeles are proving to be great host cities, deserving of the games coming to them.

UCLA will be hosting as “The Village”, the place where olympic the athletes will use as their living area for the duration of the Olympics. The University of Southern California, Los Angeles will be hosting and meeting the living needs of around 15,000 olympic athletes. UCLA has a luxurious campus filled with dining areas, dorms, and more areas. Happiness and comfort is sure to come to the olympic athletes participating.

While Americans are marveling about the 2028 Olympics coming to us, and almost overlooking the upcoming Olympics, we are still incredibly excited for Paris 2024 and everything the games will have to show and offer to everyone in the world.
