Coachella is a music festival that is hosted annually in April at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year, the first weekend is from April 10 to April 12 and the second is April 17 to the 19th. The headlining acts this year are Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G. The main audience that attends Coachella are influencers who are invited by brands, and younger people aged 18 to 34. Influencers can go for free and sometimes get paid to go for brand partnerships. While most influencers can go for free, this year the prices for tickets reached an all-time high, some at $2,200 a pop and more for a car camping pass. Because so many influencers are invited, Coachella is described as the “Influencer Olympics” by some.
One person who happened to be invited to perform is Justin Bieber. Coachella paid him 10 million dollars just to appear, this made him the all time highest paid performer to ever perform at Coachella. His performance at Coachella has gone viral, and is talked about by many on social media. With it being his first performance in a really long time, the media says that the majority of his audience was people in their late 20’s who grew up listening to him. Although many people felt like his performance was “boring” and “lazy,” the true fans felt the nostalgia that came with his appearance and songs. Fans truly felt emotional when he started to sing with his younger self on the screen, as he looked back and let the nostalgia wash over the audience. Justin Bieber was accompanied by his family and friends including his wife, Hailey Bieber, and his son, Jack Blues Bieber. During Justin’s performance, Hailey Bieber was seen supporting Justin and having the cutest reaction by singing “That Should be me” and dancing with her son Jack during the whole performance.
