Seniors,

I think it’s safe to say that the start of our high school journey was a crazy one, to say the least. For some perspective, let me take you back to 2020, a year like no other. We thought it was the start of a normal new decade to come. This was until tragedy struck with the COVID-19 pandemic starting and uprooting everyone’s lives. We went from attending school or work every day, to now learning how to learn and work remotely from home. This was the year when so many things changed for everyone worldwide, especially high school students. Class of 2020 didn’t get a graduation and a proper end to their high school years due to the pandemic, and Class of 2024 didn’t get a bona fide start to their high school career.

But now, we are here. 4 years later and Class of 2024 is finally gearing up for graduation. Isn’t it crazy that almost four years ago we all attended our first high school class on Zoom and now we are graduating and heading off to the next chapter of our lives? It’s amazing to think about. Speaking from personal experience, senior year has been filled with various emotions. The idea of deciding what you are going to do with the rest of your life is harrowing to think about.  It’s a good feeling to know that these feelings of uncertainty have subsided and now there’s a sense of pride and joy looking forward to our futures. Being that we are in the final weeks of high school, I decided to highlight seniors and where they will be going to college for the next four years.
