The movie “Elf” is just a disappointment to the entire Christmas genre. As the teacher, Ms. Cairns said, “I dislike ‘Elf’ because it is incredibly obnoxious and I spend my day with sophomores and I go home to a four-year-old. I don’t want to go home and watch a grown man act like a child. I’m not a Grinch, I just can’t watch Will Ferrel act as a five-year-old.” It’s almost embarrassing that this movie is as popular as it is. To act like a child is Will Ferrel’s persona in the Hollywood world but this was simply too much.
