Heads up, Winter Formal is coming up! Santa Rosa Academy is hosting a Winter Formal. Information is not widely known, many are clueless and need to be informed.
Emails were sent out to the students and parents of SRA informing them about the date, time, price, and additional information of the event. As well as a flyer detailing the theme and information the email also entailed.
The flyers are also posted around the school. They can be found around campus on classroom windows, doors, and on the school walls. Taped around different areas of the blacktop as well. These flyers are displayed and are decorated as shown to the right.

According to the flyers and the email, Winter Formal will be held on February First from 6:30 to 10:00 PM. Buying for singles will be different than paying for doubles, singles tickets being $40 and doubles tickets being $75. Ticket sales close Friday, January 24th. Guest passes must be completed for students who do not attend SRA. Passes will be found in the principal’s office and must be returned to the principal’s office no later than Friday, January 24th. Warning: guests will need a signature from their school principal to attend. The theme has been chosen to be “City of Stars.”
Besides this information, there is also the dress code that will be required during the event. As stated in the email “**It is your responsibility to make sure your attire follows the Dress Code!! Students not following these guidelines will not be permitted to enter the event.” The Dress Code will be listed here: Dress Code For Special Events.

In summary, the dress code will include very specific guidelines. Such as, boys must wear long sleeved collared dress shirts, slacks, no shorts, joggers, or dickies jeans, no sagging or tight fitting pants. Button up shirts must remain buttoned. Converse or Vans style shoes are allowed to be worn as long as they are in good shape. Boys are encouraged to wear blazers, ties/bow ties and dress shoes. For the girls, dresses must be worn. Dress rules are as follows: sides of the dress cannot be low cut, revealing, no cutouts whatsoever shall be permitted, slit higher than 3 inches above the knee are not allowed, back of the dress may not be cut lower than the natural waistline, and two piece dresses are allowed as long as the top covers all midriff area. For the shoes, your heels must not be higher than 4 inches. Shoes must have a backing (flip flops/sandals/open heel shoes are not permitted). For further detail, please email.
Attendance shall also be discussed. As we do want students to attend, there are certain people that will be unable to show up to the event. According to the student handbook, it is written “any students with a recent suspension, unserved detentions, low attendance, or an F in any class will not be permitted to attend upcoming school activities, including dances.” Other than this, those with no issues with these aspects shall have no problems with attending the event.
Snacks, food, and drinks will be made available during the occasion. Although mostly unknown, the email gives us brief information on the subject. Located at the very top of the email, it states “food and snacks.” Listed beyond is “Drinks by Moonlight Mock-tails, Snacks, and Desserts” are included. Visit Moonlight Mocktails social media to discover more about their wonderful beverages. They can be found at “Moonlight Mocktails,” and “Moonlight Mocktails • Instagram photos and videos.”
Given these points, all Santa Rosa Students are encouraged to attend the Winter Formal. Those who are going will enjoy it and parents will be happy to know their students are not only safe but also had a good time. We’ll be expecting you!
