Quiero Brunch opened Friday the 18th of April. While this restaurant has been open for a very short time, it has made its appearance on social media. If you’re like me, you’ve probably scrolled through Temecula brunch spots only to land on the same old eggs benedict and overpriced mimosas. However, tucked away in Tower Plaza, is Quiero Brunch, owned by German and Karol Herrera, the duo behind the popular Michi Tacos.
This cute spot isn’t a regular brunch place, it’s a whole vibe. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with colorful tilework, warm lighting, and a playlist that makes you want to dance between bites. It feels like you’re on vacation without leaving town.
The menu has a variety of traditional Mexican flavors and brunch classics, and somehow it all ties together perfectly. Take their tres leches pancakes, for example. They’re soft, fluffy, slightly sweet, but not overly sugary, and drizzled with a sauce that tastes like your abuela made it from scratch. Or if you want something more on the cinnamon side, the churro waffles. Crispy on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and dusted with cinnamon sugar like they were meant to exist in your life all along.
But don’t sleep on the savory stuff. I ordered the loaded potatoes when I went, and they might be my new go-to comfort food. Although nothing is better than a home-cooked meal from your parents, this came close. You can tell they take their menu seriously, and they want to have those home-like meals. The potato was soft and covered in a green salsa. You can ask for your eggs however you want them. The eggs were cooked just right, and the salsa had the kind of kick that wakes you up better than coffee (don’t skip the mazapán latte, it’s sweet, nutty, and a hug in a cup).
There’s also something to be said about the balance here. Yes, you can go full-on dessert-for-breakfast, but they’ve got lighter options too, like avocado toast with a spicy twist or fresh fruit with tajín and lime. They’re clearly thinking about variety and not just jumping on the Instagrammable brunch bandwagon.
I checked out the online reviews, and they’re glowing and no one has anything bad to say. Quiero Brunch is already racking up high ratings on Yelp and OpenTable, with most people raving about the food, the atmosphere, and the staff. One reviewer called it, “The best brunch experience in Temecula,” while another wrote, “The vibe, the food, the people—everything is just 10/10.”
Of course, no place is perfect. A few folks mentioned longer wait times on weekends, but honestly, that’s a good sign. A packed brunch spot usually means it’s doing something right. And in this case, the general consensus is that it’s worth the wait.
What really sealed the deal for me was the service. Everyone there, from the host to the server to the person bringing out drinks, was genuinely kind and welcoming. You can tell the team cares about what they’re doing. They’re proud of the food, and they want you to enjoy it. And that energy is contagious. Once you start talking to them, it seems normal and you get comfortable.
Quiero Brunch isn’t just another restaurant, it’s an experience that allows you to feel like you’re at home. It’s a place where tradition meets creativity, where flavors feel like a warm hug, and where the people make you feel like you belong. Whether you’re a brunch regular or someone just looking for something new, this spot deserves to be on your list.
So if you’re in Temecula and tired of the same old weekend routine, I suggest waking up a little early, bringing an empty stomach, and treating yourself. Quiero Brunch isn’t just brunch.
