Last week’s sport of the week was baseball. While not having the best season, they’ve had a great past two weeks. Last week, they were able to pull off two wins during the season while having to deal with rain. They played Desert Christian Academy (DCA), California Military Institute (CMI) and Heritage. They were able to win against DCA and CMI by allowing zero points against both teams while scoring a combined number of 56 runs.
Despite being a difficult sport to play in the rain and not being able to use the field, Ms.Wood stated “they have done a great job this week with having to be flexible with the rain and being able to make arrangements with the other schools.” Last week they were able to pull off two wins in the league and one this week against Nuview, currently making them undefeated in league. Baseball will take on Hamilton High School on Friday, March 21, at 3:15 P.M.
Sport of the week will be an ongoing thing and any in season sport can win it. The sport is chosen by Ms. Wood and will be awarded based on athletic performance. Support your baseball team and encourage your team to be the next team of the week!
