Mr. Eduardo Paez, SRA’s chemistry instructor, explains his enthusiasm for learning, teaching experiences, and educational goals. Cheerful and kind Paez continually looks for opportunities to develop a stimulating learning environment for his students. The road he travels is anything but straightforward, yet Paez uses his experience to keep getting better while remaining impartial.
After completing his college studies, Paez began his teaching career with a position at a language school. This encounter affected him tremendously, which revealed the deep delight of helping others learn. It laid the groundwork for his subsequent teaching career, which brought him to Santa Rosa Academy.
Paez said the following when asked about his experience teaching high school students:
“Happy and more aware.” According to Paez, he enjoys seeing and benefiting from the generational knowledge that students bring to the classroom.
Paez said teaching differed from his original career plan when asked if it was a lifelong change or if he had considered pursuing other careers. Nevertheless, he has learned to value work because of the great gratification it brings by supporting students’ development. He mentioned that his choices were significantly impacted by his personality and intense passion for the work. Regarding the future:
“I am open to it.” says Paez. “Santa Rosa has been a fantastic place to teach and grow as an educator. I have had some wonderful experiences here and am deeply connected to the community. However, I am always open to new adventures and opportunities.”
